29. Cylinder Head Disassemble

Cylinder Head Disassemble

- Tools Required
- J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor
- J 43184 Valve Spring Compressor Adaptor
- J 36017 Valve Guide Seal Remover





Important: Ensure that the valve train components are kept together and identified in order for proper re-installation in their original position.

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Use the J 8062 and the J 43184 valve spring adapter and compress the valve spring.





2. Remove the valve keepers (1).
3. Slowly release the J 8062 from the valve spring assembly.
4. Remove the retainer.
5. Remove the spring.
6. Remove the spring seats.





Notice: Do not damage the valve guide. Remove any burrs that have formed at the key groove by chamfering the valve stem with an oil stone or a file.

7. Remove the valve seal (2). Use the J36077.





8. Remove the valve (2).
9. Remove the remaining valves.
