Interior Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.




4. Remove the dome/panel dimmer switch (3).

Installation Procedure

Notice: Align the switch onto the bezel. On the C model, snap the switch into position. On the B model, the switch is screw-mounted. Do not push on the thumbwheel during installation since damage to the switch may result.




1. Install the dome/panel dimmer switch (3).
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Install the instrument panel trim plate bezel.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
