Chassis - Fuel Tank
REAR CHASSIS EVAP PIPE REMOVAL PROCEDUREIMPORTANT: When replacing the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe, always replace the pipe with original equipment or parts that meet the GM specifications for this part. The replacement pipe must have the same type of fittings as the original pipe in order to ensure the integrity of the connection.
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the hose clamp (3) securing the front EVAP pipe to the chassis mounted EVAP pipe.
3. Release the EVAP pipe connector hose from the EVAP chassis pipe.
4. Remove the fuel tank.
5. Release the EVAP pipe from the chassis retainers.
6. Remove the EVAP pipe.
REAR CHASSIS EVAP PIPE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the EVAP pipe for installation.
2. Secure the EVAP pipe to the chassis retainers.
3. Install the fuel tank.
4. Install the EVAP pipe connector hose (3) from the front EVAP pipe to the chassis EVAP pipe.
5. Secure the hose clamp.
