Fuel Heater Element Replacement

FUEL HEATER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
3. Remove the protective cover from fuel manager/filter.




4. Open the air bleed valve (4) on top of the fuel manager/filter (3) in order to release any of the pressure in the fuel supply system.
5. Disconnect the fuel heater connector (1).
6. Remove the fuel heater threaded nut by turning counter clock wise.
Use a hand pressure or a strap wrench in order to remove the fuel heater threaded nut.
7. Remove the fuel heater (2) from the filter housing by pulling straight up.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the cap seal into the filter housing.
2. Install the fuel heater by pushing straight down (2).
3. Install the fuel heater threaded nut.
4. Reconnect fuel heater connector (1).
5. Install the protective cover on the fuel manager/filter.
6. Install the fuel tank filler cap.
7. Bleed the air from the fuel manager/filter.
8. Lower the vehicle.
