Shutter Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hydraulic lines or the air lines from the radiator shutter control valve. Refer to Shutter Control Valve Hose Replacement Shutter Control Valve Hose Replacement.




2. Remove the electrical connector to the radiator shutter control valve.




3. Remove the fittings from the control valve.




4. Remove the radiator shutter control valve mounting nut.




5. Remove the radiator shutter control valve from the radiator lower mounting panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator shutter control valve to the radiator lower mounting panel.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the radiator shutter control valve mounting nut.

Tighten the radiator shutter control valve mounting nut to 13 Nm (115 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector to the radiator shutter control valve.




4. Install the fittings to the control valve.

* Tighten the air fitting to 6 Nm (53 lb in).
* Tighten the hydraulic fitting to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

5. Install the hydraulic lines or the air lines, as equipped, to the radiator shutter control valve.
