SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Remove the wire harness assembly (4) from the wire harness strap (5).
Remove the wire harness straps (3) from the wire harness assembly (4).
Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the upper tilt head assembly (1).





3. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil from the steering shaft assembly using the following steps:
3.1. The retaining ring (1) using the snap ring pliers.
3.2. The inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (2).
3.3. The wave washer (3).
