Wiper Motor Replacement - Rear
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the nut from the wiper motor drive shaft.
2. Remove the washer and seal from the wiper motor drive shaft.
3. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the two screws and the wiper motor from the liftgate.
6. Remove the wiper motor cover.
7. Remove the circuit board from the wiper motor.
8. Remove the screw and the bracket from the wiper motor.
9. Remove the insulator from the wiper motor.
10. Remove the seal and the spacer from the wiper motor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the spacer and the seal onto the wiper motor.
2. Install the insulator onto the wiper motor.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the bracket onto the wiper motor with the screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
4. Install the circuit board into the wiper motor.
5. Install the wiper motor cover.
6. Install the wiper motor onto the liftgate with the two screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).
7. Connect the electrical connector to wiper motor.
8. Install the liftgate trim panel.
9. Install the washer and seal onto the wiper motor drive shaft.
10. Install the nut onto the wiper motor drive shaft.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
