Interior Windnoise



Interior Windnoise

Interior windnoise will not be heard with a lowered window. Interior windnoise is caused by air leaving the inside of the vehicle through a seal or a seam.





1. Tape over the pressure relief valves in order to increase the air pressure within the vehicle.
2. Test drive the vehicle.
3. Listen for windnoise whistle.
4. Stop the vehicle.
5. Use masking tape in order to make temporary repairs.
6. If you are still unable to determine the source of the interior windnoise, perform 1 or more of the following tests:

* The Tracing Powder or Chalk Test
* The Air Pressure Test
* The Soap Suds or Bubble Test
