Horn Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right and left side park/turn signal/side marker lamps.
2. Remove the right and left headlamps.

IMPORTANT: The horn/bracket assembly should be removed from the vehicle for any service.

3. Disconnect the vehicle harness from the horn assembly.
4. Remove the fastener holding the bracket to the vehicle.
5. Note the orientation of the bracket to the mouth of the trumpet.
6. Remove the horn from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the replacement horn on the original bracket at the same angle as the original.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the nut to the horn attaching it to the bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (90 lb in).

IMPORTANT: Extra brackets and hardware provided in the kit may be discarded.

3. Check the location of the horn connector verses the wire length available in the vehicle. If the vehicle harness will not reach the new connector, remove the existing harness connector and lengthen the wire with the supplied pigtail, using the sealed splices provided. Any extra wiring components can be discarded.
4. Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Install the horn assembly with the original fasteners (1) to the vehicle.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (48 lb in).

5. Install the headlamp.
6. Install the park/turn signal/side marker lamp.
