Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the left-side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the left-side carpet retainer. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door) or Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door).
3. Remove the park brake indicator switch electrical connector.
4. Remove the park brake indicator switch screw.
5. Remove the parking brake indicator switch.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the park brake indicator switch.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the park brake indicator switch screw.
^ Tighten the park brake indicator switch screw to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
3. Install the park brake indicator switch electrical connector.
4. Install the left-side carpet retainer. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door) or Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door).
5. Install the left-side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
