Manual Seat Adjuster Mechanism Replacement (Four-Way Manual)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the finish covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement) .
3. Remove the seat belt buckle with pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement.
4. Cut the cable strap that secures the seat belt warning lamp wire to the seat frame.
5. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.




6. Remove the seat adjuster (1) from the seat frame (4).



Installation Procedure

Important: When installing manual seat adjusters to the seat bottom frame, the right and the left seat adjuster sliding mechanisms should be parallel and in phase with each other.


After installing manual seat adjusters to the seat frame, inspect the operation of the adjusters.


Ensure that the adjusters are parallel and in phase with each other when installing the power seat adjusters.







1. Install the seat adjusters to the seat frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the seat adjuster bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

3. Install the seat belt buckle with pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement.
4. Install the finish covers (1). Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement) .
5. Install the front seat (4). Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
6. Route the seat belt warning lamp wire to the rear of the lift linkage and secure it with a cable strap.
