Seat Back Heater Element Replacement - Front

Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the map pocket net. Refer to Front Seat Map Pocket Net Replacement (Map Pocket Net Replacement - Front Seat) .
3. Remove the finish covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement) .
4. Remove the recliner handle and cap. Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement (Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement) .
5. Remove the seat back recliner covers starting at the rear of the cover.




6. Remove the J retainer (1) from the bottom edge of the seat back cover.
7. Remove the recliner bolts.
8. Separate the seat back from the seat cushion.
9. Remove the seat back cover from the seat back cushion while separating the hook and loop retainers.




10. Remove the seat back cover retainer rings (2).
11. Pull up on the seat back cover (1).
12. Remove the heater element from the seat back pad.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the heater element.




2. Push down on the seat back cover (1).
3. Install the retainer rings (2) to the seat back cover.
4. Secure the seat back cover to the foam pad with the hook and loop retainers.
5. Install the seat back to the seat cushion.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

6. Install the front seat recliner bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).





7. Install the J retainer (1) to the bottom edge of the seat back cover.
8. Secure the seat back recliner covers in place.
9. Install the recliner handle and cap. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement (Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement) .
10. Install the finish covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement) .
11. Install the map pocket net. Refer to Front Seat Map Pocket Net Replacement (Map Pocket Net Replacement - Front Seat) .
12. Install the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
