Body Side Front Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seats. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement) .
3. Remove the body pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement) .
4. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door) (Door Sill Plate Replacement)Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door)) .
5. Remove the HVAC auxiliary control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement - Auxiliary in Side Trim Panel.
6. Remove the rear audio controls. Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement.




7. Using J 38778 , remove the retainers from the body side front trim panel .
8. Remove the front trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Install the retainers to the front trim panel by aligning the retainers to the holes and pushing in to secure the retainers.
3. Install the rear audio controls. Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement.
4. Install the HVAC auxiliary control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement - Auxiliary in Side Trim Panel.
5. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door) (Door Sill Plate Replacement)Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door) (Door Sill Plate Replacement (Sliding Door)) .
6. Install the trim panel to the upper body pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement) .
7. Install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement) .
8. Install the rear seats. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement) in Seats.
