14. Oil Pan Removal

1. Remove the following fasteners from the cylinder block:
^ The sixteen bolts
^ The two nuts

Notice: Do not damage the oil pan contact surface of the lower cylinder block when removing the oil pan.





2. Remove the engine oil pan.





3. Remove the following components from the lower cylinder block:
^ Two oil strainer bolts
^ The oil strainer (2)

4. Clean the following components:
^ The inside of the engine oil pan
^ The oil pump strainer screen
^ The mating surfaces of the engine oil pan and the cylinder block
