Diagnostic Chart:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This is an internal function of the Vehicle Interface Unit (VIU). DTC B2462 is set when the VIU detects no GPS antenna present.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The Ignition must be in the Run or ACC position and the VIU power must be on. The VIU will run this test every 2.5 sec. Battery voltage must be at least 9.5 volts and no more than 15.5 volts.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The VIU receives a signal from the GPS receiver (GPS receiver is located inside VIU) which indicates the status of the GPS antenna. If the VIU does not detect an antenna connected to the GPS receiver then DTC B2462 is set.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
When DTC B2462 is current the VIU sees all information received from the internal GPS module as Invalid.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
The code can be cleared when the VIU does not detect a failure during the last diagnostic cycle.
