Rear Coil Spring Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
2. Support the rear axle.
3. Disconnect the Real Time Damping (RTD) sensor, if equipped. Refer to Rear Position Sensor Link Assembly Replacement - Electronic Suspension in Real Time Damping.
4. Remove the lower shock absorber nuts and bolt from the rear axle. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement (Pick up ) or Shock Absorber Replacement (15 Series Utility) or Shock Absorber Replacement (15 Series Utility W/G65) or Shock Absorber Replacement (25 Series Utility).
5. Lower the rear axle until the springs are fully unloaded.
6. Remove the spring and the upper and lower insulators.


Installation Procedure





1. Position the spring and the upper and lower insulators.
2. Install the rear spring to the rear axle.
3. Raise the rear axle.
4. Install the lower shock absorber nuts to the rear axle. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement (Pick up ) or Shock Absorber Replacement (15 Series Utility) or Shock Absorber Replacement (15 Series Utility W/G65) or Shock Absorber Replacement (25 Series Utility).
5. Connect the RTD sensor, if equipped. Refer to Rear Position Sensor Link Assembly Replacement - Electronic Suspension in Real Time Damping.
6. Remove the rear axle support.
7. Lower the vehicle.
