VALVE ROCKER ARM AND PUSH ROD REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Service and Repair
3. Remove the valve rocker arm (s) and the pushrod (s). Service and Repair
4. Clean and inspect all parts. Service and Repair

Installation Procedure

Notice: In order to properly seat the valve train components, it is critical to rotate the camshaft. Failure to follow the service procedure may result in a loss of engine performance and engine damage.





1. Install the valve rocker arm (s) and the pushrod (s). Service and Repair
2. Install the valve rocker arm cover. Service and Repair
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
