Front Bumper Replacement (Limited Tahoe)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the grille.




2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fog lamp assemblies.
3. Remove the fog lamp assemblies.
4. Remove the air deflector to the bumper.




5. Remove the eight bumper bolts securing the bumper to the frame.
Four bumper bolts on the top and four bumper bolts on the bottom of the bumper assembly.




6. Remove the bumper from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the bumper to the vehicle.




2. Install the the eight bumper bolts securing the bumper to the frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Align the bumper laterally to the grille area.

Tighten
Tighten the eight bumper bolts securing the bumper to the frame to 112 N.m (83 lb ft).





4. Reinstall fog lamp assemblies in the bumper.
5. Install the fog lamp wire connector.
6. Install the air deflector to the bumper.
7. Install the grille.
