87. Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation

Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation




1. Install the oil level indicator tube and NEW O-ring into the oil pan.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Properly position the oil level indicator tube and install the bracket nut to the right exhaust manifold stud.

Tighten the oil level indicator tube nut to 54 Nm (40 lb ft).




3. Install the oil level indicator tube retaining clip.
4. Install the oil level indicator into the oil level indicator tube.
5. In order to prevent rub conditions from occuring ensure the correct orientation of the following:

* Spark plug wires
* Ignition coil harness
* Fuel injector harness
* ECT sensor wire harness
* Vacuum hoses
* Coolant hoses
