Rear Seat Back Cushion Hinge Replacement (YC5 and YC6)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear bench seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement (Rear Bench Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the right and left sides of the seat back hinge trim. Refer to Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Right Side (YC6) (Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Right Side (YC6)) and Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Left Side (Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Left Side) .

Important: Note the position and the length of the bolts removed. This will assist with reassembly.


3. Remove the bolts that retain the seat back hinge to the seat back frame and the seat cushion frame.
4. Remove the latch release cable from the seat back hinge.




5. Remove the seat back hinge from the seat cushion frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the seat back hinge to the seat cushion frame.
2. Install the latch release cable to the seat back hinge.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the right and left bolts that retain the seat back hinge to the seat back frame and the seat cushion frame in the locations noted during disassembly.

Tighten the right and left bolts retaining the seat back hinge to the seat back frame and the seat cushion frame to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

4. Install the right and left sides of the rear seat back hinge trim. Refer to Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Right Side (YC6) (Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Right Side (YC6)) and Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Left Side (Rear Seat Back Hinge Trim Replacement - Left Side) .
5. Install the rear bench seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Bench Seat Replacement (Rear Bench Seat Replacement) .
