Security Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

The SECURITY indicator is on the instrument cluster. If the SECURITY indicator flashes or if the SECURITY indicator lights continuously during the vehicle operation, refer to the system diagnosis.

The SECURITY indicator is a class 2 serial data message from the BCM. The SECURITY indicator can be commanded ON by both the Passlock and the Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) systems. The SECURITY indicator can be ON continuously, or flashing.
