CD Changer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution In Cautions and Notices.




1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the floor console.
3. Remove the compact disc changer cover retaining bolts.
4. Remove the compact disc changer cover.




5. Remove the compact disc changer retaining bolts.
6. Remove the compact disc changer.
7. Remove the console wiring harness connector from the compact disc changer.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the console wiring harness connector to the compact disc changer.
2. Install the compact disc changer.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the compact disc changer retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the compact disc changer retaining bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).




4. Install the compact disc changer cover.
5. Install the compact disc changer cover retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the compact disc changer cover retaining bolts to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
6. Install the negative battery cable.
