Resonator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the air inlet tube and resonator retaining wingnut.
2. Remove the air inlet tube and resonator from the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator upward until the hinge clip releases from the lip on the throttle body.
3. Remove the air intake resonator retainer bolt.
4. Separate the air inlet duct and resonator by loosing the resonator clamp.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Secure the resonator to the air inlet tube with the resonator clamp.
Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 3-5 N.m (27-44 lb in).
2. Install the air intake resonator retainer bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 8-12 N.m (6-8 lb ft).
3. Align the hinge clip with the lip on the throttle body.
Install the air inlet tube and resonator to the throttle body by pivoting the air inlet tube and resonator downward until the mounting stud is through the hole in the air inlet tube.
4. Install the air inlet tube and resonator retaining wingnut.
