Installation Procedure

1. Cut the carpet or mat and the insulation so that the anchor plate sits on the floor pane sheet metal.
2. Drill a 10.0 mm (3/8 in) hole in the floor pan at the proper location.
3. Install an M8 bolt or equivalent through the anchor plate and the floor pan.
4. Install a medium bodied sealer around the cleaned hole at the underside of the floor panel.
5. Install a 62 mm (2 7/16 in) diameter by 3 mm (1/8 in) flat washer.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install a nut to Child Restraint tether belt bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to Child Restraint tether belt bolt to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
