Blower Motor Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the air cleaner.

CAUTION: Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the windshield washers and the coolant reservoir for access.
4. The blower motor relay that is used on the M/L van in an integral pan of the blower motor resistor and cannot be serviced separately from the resistor.
5. Remove the electrical connectors.
6. Remove the screws from the blower motor resistor.
7. Remove the blower motor resistor (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the blower motor resistor (4).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws to the blower motor resistor.

Tighten
Tighten the blower motor resistor screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the windshield washers and the coolant reservoir for access.
4. Install the electrical connectors.

CAUTION: Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Inspect the circuit operation.
7. Install the air cleaner.
