Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check, Blade Element Check

Check the arm tip pressure under the following circumstances:
^ The wipers skip or chatter.
^ You have cleaned the windshield. You have cleaned the wiper elements.





1. Stop the wiper blade in the mid-stroke.
2. Attach the tension scale to the wiper attaching pin.
3. Lift the arm approximately 1/2 inch above the glass.
4. Note the pressure.

The wiper arm tip pressure must be 7.8-9.5 N (28-34 ounces). If the tip pressure is outside of the specified range, replace the wiper arms.
