Automatic Dynamic Noise Reduction

The U1C and UP0 radio has the Automatic DNR (Dynamic Noise Reduction) which
reduces background hiss on AM, FM, and FM stereo radio broadcasts.

When a compact disc is played, the automatic DNR function is disabled. When the unit is in the radio play mode the automatic DNR function is enabled. DNR is a registered trademark of National Semiconductor Corporation.
