Differential Cover Gasket

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle.

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Suitably support the vehicle with safety stands.
3. Place a container under the axle carrier cover in order to catch any lubricant.
4. Remove the rear brake line bracket from the axle carrier cover.





5. Remove the retaining bolts (3) from the axle (2).
6. Remove the axle carrier cover (4) from the axle (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the axle carrier cover (4) to the axle (2).
2. Install the retaining bolts (3) to the axle carrier cover (4).
^ Tighten the retaining bolts of the axle carrier cover to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the bracket for the rear brake line to the axle carrier cover.
4. Remove the container under the axle carrier cover.





5. Fill the rear axle with oil.
6. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
