Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle and install suitable safety stands.
2. Remove the rear propeller shaft.
3. Pry the seal out of the extension housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Tools Required:
- J 365G3 Rear Extension Seal Installer





1. Install the seal, using J 36503.
2. Fill the space between the seal lips with transmission oil.
3. Install the rear propeller shaft.
4. Check the transmission oil level. Add transmission oil if required.
5. Lower the vehicle.
