Tap Plate And Rubber Strip Removal:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Screws from the rail assembly end supports.
2. Luggage carrier as an assembly from the roof.
DISASSEMBLE
Tap Plate And Rubber Strip Removal:
1. Screws from the side rail supports.
2. Side rail supports from the side rails.
Luggage Carrier Assembly:
3. Screws from the cross rails.
Luggage Carrier Assembly:
4. Cross rails from the sliders.
5. Rubber strips from cross bar assemblies.
Luggage Carrier Mounting:
6. Tap plates from cross rails.
7. Loosen knobs from the sliders and lock plates in the side rails.
8. Sliders and lock plates from the slots in side rails.
ASSEMBLE
NOTE: Only hand tools should be used during installation. The use of power tools may result in the cross-threading of mounting fasteners, nicks and scratches of component parts.
1. Sliders and lock plates into the slots in the side rails.
2. Hand tighten knobs into the sliders and the lock plates.
Luggage Carrier Mounting:
3. Tap plates into cross rails.
Luggage Carrier Assembly:
4. Cross rails on to the sliders.
Luggage Carrier Assembly:
5. Screws to the cross rails.
Tighten
Cross rail screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
6. Side rail supports to side rails.
7. Screws to the side rail supports.
Tighten
Side rail support screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
Tap Plate And Rubber Strip Removal:
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Luggage carrier as an assembly onto the roof.
2. End support to the roof screws.
Tighten
End support screws to 2.8 Nm (25 lb in).
3. Rubber strips to cross bar assemblies.
