Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement
LEFT SIDELeft Side I/P Sound Insulator:
Remove Or Disconnect
1. Screws that retain the data link connector (DLC) to the instrument panel sound insulator. Feed the DLC through the hole in the sound insulator.
2. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the knee bolster and cowl panel.
3. Nut that retains the instrument panel sound insulator to the accelerator pedal bracket.
4. Remote control door lock receiver module electrical connector.
5. Remote control door lock receiver module from the instrument panel sound insulator.
Install Or Connect
1. Remote control door lock receiver module to the instrument panel sound insulator.
2. Remote control door lock receiver module electrical connector.
3. Nut that retains the instrument panel sound insulator to the accelerator pedal bracket.
TIGHTEN Nut to 4 Nm (35 lb in).
4. Screw that retains the instrument panel sound insulator to the cowl panel.
TIGHTEN Screw to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).
5. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the knee bolster.
TIGHTEN Screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
6. DLC through the hole in the instrument panel sound insulator.
7. Screws that retain the DLC to the instrument panel sound insulator.
TIGHTEN Screws to 2.4 Nm (21 lb in).

Remove Or Disconnect
1. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the knee bolster, instrument panel, heater assembly, and floor duct.
2. Instrument panel sound insulator from the vehicle.
Install Or Connect
1. Instrument panel sound insulator to the vehicle.
2. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the knee bolster, instrument panel, and floor duct.
TIGHTEN Screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
3. Screw that retains the instrument panel sound insulator to the heater assembly.
TIGHTEN Screw to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).

Remove Or Disconnect
1. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the instrument panel and cowl.
2. Instrument panel sound insulator from the vehicle.
Install Or Connect
1. Instrument panel sound insulator to the vehicle.
2. Screws that retain the instrument panel sound insulator to the instrument panel and cowl panel.
TIGHTEN Screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
