NOTE: Whenever performing repairs to the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS), WSS mounting bracket, steering arm, front caliper anchor plate, steering knuckle, inner bearing dust shield or any fasteners, the WSS air gap may be moved out of adjustment. Always check and adjust the WSS air gap as outlined in Adjustments to prevent damage to the WSS and to ensure proper operation of the Four Wheel Antilock (4WAL) brake system.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Tire and wheel.
2. Brake caliper.
3. Hub and rotor assembly.
4. Splash shield.
5. WSS to bracket mounting nuts.
6. WSS from mounting bracket.
7. WSS mounting bracket attaching nuts.
8. WSS mounting bracket.

Install or Connect
1. WSS mounting bracket.
2. WSS mounting bracket attaching nuts.

NOTE: Do not install washers between the attaching nuts and the WSS mounting bracket or insufficient thread engagement of the nut may occur.

3. Tighten attaching nuts to 285 Nm (210 lb. ft.).
3. WSS to mounting bracket.
