Engine Cover Replacement

Remove or Disconnect

Instrument Panel Extension Cup Holder:

Instrument Panel Extension:

1. I/P extension.

Heater Duct:

2. Floor air outlet duct.
3. Bolts from the brackets.
^ Loosen the bolt and rotate the bracket out of the way.
4. Latches.
5. Screws.

NOTICE: Screws that fasten engine cover to cowl are not designed to come out of the engine cover. Use care when moving the cover. The screws extending from the engine cover could cause damage to the Instrument panel or trim.

Engine Cover Replacement:

Engine Cover Upper Screw:

6. Engine cover.

Install or Connect

Engine Cover Upper Retainer Installation:

1. Engine cover.
2. Screws.
^ Do not fully tighten.

Engine Cover Lower Latch:

Engine Cover Guide Assembly:

3. Latches.

Tighten
^ Tighten screws to 4 N.m (35 lb. in.).

4. Bolts.

Tighten
^ Bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb. ft.).

5. Floor air outlet duct.
6. I/P extension.
