Troubleshooting Hints

START DIAGNOSTICS HERE
Perform the checks listed below before beginning "System Diagnosis."

1. If the Courtesy Lights operate, the CTSY Fuse is OK.

2. If the Power Seats operate, the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker is OK.

3. Check that ground G2OO is clean and tight.

4. Manually operate door locks to be certain lock rods and lock mechanism function normally.

5. Examine Sliding Door Contact Switch for damage.

6. If PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker opens when Power Door Locks are operated, check for short to ground through CKTs 294 and 295.

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity or voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).

^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
