SERVICE INFORMATION:
Some 6.2L Diesel HYDRA-MATIC 4L80-E/4L80-EHD Transmissions with either 100 AMP or 105 AMP alternators (RPO's K60 and K68, respectively) may experience a 1-2 shudder, chuggle or double bump. This condition is created by excessive transmission line pressure oscillations caused by the force motor circuitry short protection transistor Q6 which is located within the T.C.M. (Transmission Control Module).
A new T.C.M. package has been released that eliminates this condition.
