On March 18, 1985, or Julian Date 077 (figure 1), all 1985 THM 700-R4 "YT" Model transmissions are being built using a newly calibrated control valve assembly. This new assembly, part #8654229, will eliminate a condition of early and soft upshifts.
IMPORTANT: Prior to replacing the control valve assembly for the condition described above, verify that the T.V. cable is adjusted properly. A T.V. cable that is adjusted too long may also cause early and soft upshifts.
