Condition, Vehicles, Dealer Responsibility, and Owner Notification
CONDITION INVOLVEDGeneral Motors has determined that certain 1985 K30 Light Duty 4-wheel drive trucks fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108 "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment." These vehicles may have been assembled without the roof marker lamps required for trucks of 80 or more inches overall width. Marker lamps are required for safe operation of these trucks during darkness or other conditions of reduced visibility.
To correct this condition, roof marker lamps will be installed on the involved vehicles.

DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY
This recall campaign is to be performed at no charge to owners on all affected vehicles regardless of time, mileage, or ownership. Dealers are to inspect and correct all affected vehicles in new and used car stock prior to their sale.
Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is taken into your new or used vehicle inventory or it is in your dealership for service in the future, you should take the steps necessary to be sure the campaign correction has been made.
This bulletin is notice to you that the new motor vehicles included in this campaign may not comply with the standard identified above.
