Warm Engine


With a normally operating Q.O.S. (Quick On System) with coolant temperature above 140°F and ignition turned to ``On'' position, glow plug indicator turns on for about .3 second, then off. When ignition switch is turned to ``Start'' position, glow plug indicator and No. 2 relay (constant heat) turn on and remain on until ignition switch is returned to ``On'' position.

IGNITION IN ``ON'' POSITION

Glow Plug Light Remains On For 3.5 Seconds & Causes Relay No. 1 To Turn On

1. Thermo-switch circuit is not properly connected or open.
2. Thermostat switch is inoperative.

IGNITION IN ``START'' POSITION

Relay No. 2 & Glow Plug Indicator Inoperative

Starter switch ``R'' terminal not properly connected or open.

Relay No. 2 Inoperative

1. Relay No. 2 terminals not connected.
2. Circuit between ``R'' terminal and No. 2 relay not properly connected or open.
3. No. 2 relay coil is open.

Glow Indicator Light Inoperative

Controller damaged.
