Fig. 29 Piston & connecting rod assembly:

Assemble piston to rod so combustion chamber on piston head is positioned on side of connecting rod with cylinder No. stamp, Fig. 29.
Install piston and rod assembly in cylinder with arrow on piston head facing front of engine.
