Air Conditioning Switch: Description and Operation

This switch sends a 12 volt signal to the ECM when the air conditioner compressor is engaged. The ECM uses this information to readjust the ISC, resulting in smooth idle during this increased engine load period. When the compressor is disengaged, no voltage signal is sent to the ECM.
