Accelerator Pedal Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. With accelerator switch off, check voltage at terminals 1 and 3. If voltage is equal at both terminals, the relay is functioning properly. If no voltage is supplied to terminal 3, or voltage is abnormally low, the contact breaker points are defective and should be corrected or replaced.

2. The accelerator relay is functioning properly if voltage to terminal 3 drops to zero when accelerator pedal is depressed. If not, replace relay.
