Exhaust Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the intermediate exhaust pipe hanger lower bolts (3).




3. Remove the left and right exhaust manifold nuts (2).
4. Lower the front of the intermediate exhaust pipe (1).
5. Remove the exhaust seal (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install a NEW exhaust seal (3).
2. Raise the front of the intermediate exhaust pipe (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the left and right exhaust manifold nuts (2) and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




4. Install the exhaust pipe hanger lower bolts (3) and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5. Lower the vehicle.
