Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front compartment sight shield as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement).
2. Remove the oil level indicator.
3. Loosen the oil level indicator tube bolt.
4. Pull the oil level indicator tube from the crankcase.

Installation Procedure




1. Replace the oil level indicator tube O-ring.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Install the oil level indicator.
5. Install the front compartment sight shield as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement (Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement).
