Oil Pump Installation

* EN-48036 - Oil Pump Alignment Tool
* J 45059 - Angle Meter

Note: Ensure the proper friction washer is installed in the correct position.
1. Select the crankshaft sprocket to oil pump drive friction washer (2). The outer diameter is 55.0 mm (2.1654 in) and an inner diameter, including tabs, of 35.0 mm (1.3780 in).
2. Install the crankshaft sprocket to oil pump drive friction washer.
3. Install the oil pump.
Caution: The EN 48036 must be used during the installation of the oil pump. Failure to use the EN 48036 to align the oil pump to the crankshaft can lead to oil pump damage and severe engine damage.
4. Install the EN-48036 - tool over the crankshaft nose and up to the oil pump.
5. Loosely install the oil pump bolts.
6. Apply force by hand to the EN-48036 - tool against the oil pump in order to align the oil pump to the oil pump drive.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
7. While keeping hand force on the EN-48036 - tool tighten the oil pump bolts in sequence (1, 2, 3) as shown.
1. First pass to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
2. Final pass to an additional 35 degrees using the J 45059 - meter.
8. Remove the EN-48036 - tool.
