Differential Housing Support Bushing Replacement (Rear)

DT-48060-A Bushing Remover/Installer


Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear differential assembly. Refer to Differential Replacement (Differential Replacement) .





Important: Apply a small amount of clean grease or oil the thread of the DT-48060-A .



Important: Check the bore of the support bushing for damage, cracks, etc,. If any damage is found, replace the rear differential.


3. Using the DT-48060-A remove the rear differential housing support bushing.



Installation Procedure.

1. Remove any dirt or debris from the support bushing bore.
2. Position the rear support bushing in the bore.




3. Using the DT-48060-A , install the rear support bushing in the differential housing.
4. Install the rear differential assembly. Refer to Differential Replacement (Differential Replacement) .
5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
