Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: The front section of the supercharger inlet duct assembly can be serviced independently of the rear section.

1. The supercharger must be removed to remove the rear section of the supercharger inlet duct assembly.




2. Remove the engine sight shield
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct (1).






Important: There is a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose fitting on the underside of the supercharger inlet duct.

4. Disconnect the (PCV) hose fitting (1) from the underside of the inlet duct assembly.




5. Loosen the rear screw clamps (2) located between the front and rear section of the inlet duct assembly.
6. Remove all the ball studs (1) that retain the inlet duct to the supercharger. There are a total of 6 ball studs.
7. Remove the front section of the supercharger inlet duct.




8. Remove the hood assembly.
9. Remove supercharger assembly.




10. Loosen the rear screw clamps on the inlet duct seal.
11. Remove the rear section of the supercharger inlet duct from the supercharger.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear section of the supercharger inlet duct assembly to the supercharger.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Tighten the rear screw clamps on the inlet duct seal.

Tighten the supercharger inlet seal screw clamps to 2.5 N.m (20 lb in).




3. Install the supercharger.
4. Install the hood assembly.




5. Install the front section of the supercharger inlet duct to the vehicle.
6. Tighten the inlet duct screw clamps (2).

Tighten the supercharger inlet seal screw clamps to 2.5 N.m (20 lb in).

7. Install the ball studs (1) that retain the inlet duct to the supercharger. There are a total of 6 ball studs.

Tighten the supercharger inlet duct ball studs to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




8. Connect the (PCV) hose fitting (1) to the underside of the inlet duct assembly.




9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct (1).
10. Install the engine sight shield.
