Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement - Charge Air Cooler

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the RH underhood sight shield.
Important: Draining the coolant from the system is not necessary. Use an absorbent shop towel at the hose connection to absorb any minor leakage. Ensure the coolant does not make contact with any other components.
2. Using the J 38185, disengage clamp tension and disconnect the overflow hose from the reservoir.
3. Remove the reservoir mounting nuts.
4. Remove the reservoir.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the reservoir.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Install the reservoir mounting nuts.
Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Using the J 38185, disengage clamp tension and connect the overflow hose onto the reservoir.
4. Install the RH underhood sight shield.
5. Inspect the level of the charge air cooling system and fill as necessary.
