PCV Valve Hose: Service and Repair

Crankcase Ventilation Hoses/Pipes Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Disconnect the positive crankcase valve (PCV) fresh air tube from the left camshaft cover.
3. Remove the PCV fresh air tube from the air inlet.




4. Disconnect the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor electrical connector.




5. Remove the PCV tube bracket bolts.
6. Remove the PCV dirty air tube from the right camshaft cover.
7. Remove the PCV dirty air tube from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the PCV dirty air tube to the intake manifold.
2. Install the PCV dirty air tube to the right camshaft cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the PCV tube bracket bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the BARO sensor electrical connector.




5. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the air inlet.
6. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the left camshaft cover.
7. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
