Crankshaft Balancer Replacement

Tools Required

* J 24420-C Harmonic Balancer Puller
* J 41998-B Crankshaft Balancer Installer
* EN-48018 Flywheel Holding Tool

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the generator and water pump drive belt.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the transmission bell housing inspection hole cover.
4. Install the EN-48018 flywheel holding tool as shown.
5. Remove the front air deflector.




6. Use the J 24420-C in order to remove the crankshaft balancer.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the crankshaft balancer using the J 41998-B.




2. Install the front air deflector.
3. Remove the EN-48018 flywheel holding tool.
4. Install the transmission bell housing inspection hole cover.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the A/C compressor and power steering pump drive belt.
