Distance Sensing Cruise Control Module Replacement
DISTANCE SENSING CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the left front section (1) of the air cleaner assembly.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the distance sensing cruise control (DSCC) module.
4. Remove the DSCC module cover from the fascia (1).
5. Remove the three bolts (1) attaching the DSCC module to the bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the DSCC module to the bracket.
2. Hand tighten the three bolts that attach the DSCC module to the bracket.
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the DSCC module.
4. Install the DSCC module cover to the fascia (1).
5. Install the left front section (1) of the air cleaner assembly.
6. Close the hood.
7. With the scan tool, change the Automatic Alignment Learn Status Parameter in the DSCC module scan tool data list to Not Aligned after replacing a DSCC module. This allows the new DSCC module to automatically align to the vehicle. Refer to Scan Tool Data List and Cruise Control Description and Operation.
IMPORTANT: After replacing the DSCC module the next two steps are needed for the ACC system to perform properly.
8. Performance of the ACC system may be degraded after a DSCC module replacement. Normal vehicle driving will correct the performance of the ACC system. Refer to Cruise Description and Operation
